COVID-19 Policies

We are mindful of keeping our guests and community informed of what we have planned for the 2022 season.

The health and wellbeing of our guests, team and local community is paramount to us.

Block Island is a special place and we want our guests to feel confident and comfortable in planning their next trip.

Guest safety and comfort are our greatest priorities. We are following all guidelines suggested by the CDC, the State of Rhode Island, and the Town of New Shoreham (Block Island) for cleaning rooms between guest stays. In addition to general housekeeping, rooms will also be thoroughly disinfected with a CDC-approved disinfectant fogger. All guest rooms have been updated with new mattresses, encasements, hypoallergenic bedding, and linens are laundered with bleach.

We will not enter your room for cleaning during your stay unless it is requested. Please text us at any time if you would like extra towels, soaps, or trash removal. If you would like your room cleaned during your stay, please text us in the morning and we will clean it within the hours of 10:00am-2:00pm.


Social Distancing

Most of our rooms have additional exterior entrances and we encourage our guests to use these throughout their stay whenever possible. Common areas throughout the inn are for the use of all of our guests. Inside, this includes the breakfast room and sitting room on the main floor, and outside, the back decks, breakfast deck, front porch, fire pit area and lawns. Please feel free to spread out in the sun or shade and relax anywhere on property.

Check-in and Check-Out

Check-in is 2:00pm. Check-out is 10:00am.

We will not be able to offer early check-in or late departures as we need to allow for specialized cleaning of the inn. Daily luggage storage is available in the Barn building.

Breakfast Service 

We offer“to go” breakfast delivery for each guest room. In-room menus are provided and we just ask that you text your choices to us the night before for delivery to your door or breakfast decks between the hours of 8:00 and 9:30am. Our menu includes breakfast egg sandwiches, homemade baked goods, fruits and hot and cold beverages. We encourage you to enjoy your breakfast anywhere on property while practicing responsible social distancing.


Wine and Cheese Hour

Instead of the traditional Wine and Cheese Hour on our deck, we will be leaving wine in your room and delivering snacks to your door  at around 4:30. Please let us know if you have any food allergies.


A day before your arrival, we will email additional information about staying with us. We will also rely on texting throughout your stay with the number you’ve provided to us. Our goal is to help you feel as comfortable as possible about your stay and to make your visit with us a most memorable one.
