Included in Your Stay

All nightly reservations include breakfast from 8:00-9:30am and afternoon wine and cheese too. Our guest rooms are newly refurbished with King or Queen beds and also offer great water views, private patios and decks. All rooms include air-conditioning, DirecTV, Wi-Fi and mini-refrigerators. We also supply beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels for your use.

 

Special Touches

We are very happy to offer custom amenities and personalized services to assist in making your stay with us even more special. Please let us know if you are celebrating something specific during your stay, or if you need suggestions for bike rentals, island activities or dinner options. Please also let us know if you have any dietary allergies or needs as we would like to accommodate them at breakfast.

 

Children and Pets

We welcome children of all ages at The Barrington Inn. Rates quoted are based on double occupancy. Children under 6 are an additional $10 per night. An extra charge for a child (ages 6-11) is $50 per night. An extra charge for an adult (ages 12 and over) is $100 per night. Advance notice of any additional guest is required. Please note that we do not offer cots, although you are welcome to bring a travel bed. Not all rooms are large enough to accommodate additional guests; please be sure to confirm your full accommodation needs with us prior to your arrival.

One of our guest rooms has a separate entrance and is pet friendly. There is an additional $50 pet fee per night for a small dog. Please let us know in advance and we will add your pup to your reservation. We ask that you do not leave them unattended during your stay and we require a cell phone number and permission to access your room should they become disruptive. Let us know if you will need to pre-schedule a pet sitter should you be attending an event and we will connect you with on-island resources.

 

Arrivals & Departures

Guests may check-in between 2:00 and 6:00pm. Early check-in requests are subject to room availability. For guests who anticipate arriving after 6:00pm, please contact us in advance to make arrangements for your arrival.

Check-out is 10:00am. Late check-out requests are subject to room availability. A luggage space is available for day storage prior to check-in and after check-out.

 

Parking

We have a limited number of parking spaces on site for guest use. Parking is free and limited to one vehicle per room. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please let us know if you are planning to bring a car.

The Barrington Inn is conveniently located within a short walk to the beach, New Harbor and town. Most nightly guests find their way around easily with bikes, walking or relying on taxi service.

Rate and Occupancy Policies

We have 2- and 3-night minimums based on holidays, weeknight or weekend dates, although at times single nights may be available. Rates may change based on availability and are subject to additional 7% RI Sales and 6% BI Hotel taxes.

For stays of two nights or longer, a 50% deposit is required. Reservations for one night or those made within two weeks of arrival must be fully pre-paid at the time of booking. We accept payment by cash, check and all major credit cards, and will apply a 4% processing fee for card payments. Upon your arrival, you will be charged for any balance due.

Discounts or Special Offers only apply to new reservations, cannot be combined, and are subject to change at any time.

If it is necessary for you to change or cancel your reservation, all requests must be communicated by email to BarringtonInnBI@gmail.com.

Refunds will be given only if cancellations are made 15 days in advance of your arrival date and a $50 cancellation fee will apply. We require 15 days advance notice to shorten your stay or make any changes. Cancellations made within 15 days of your expected check-in date will result in your card being charged for your entire stay unless we are able to re-book the room.

 

Poor Weather Policy

Your reservation is subject to the above cancellation policies unless all air service and ferry service from all ports is cancelled due to inclement weather. Please note that the New London ferry may cancel service while the ferry from Point Judith may continue to run.

If planes are not flying due to inclement weather, please allow sufficient time to take the ferry so that you will not forfeit the charge for your room.

 

Damage & Cleaning Fee

The Barrington Inn is a smoke-free property. Smoking is not allowed inside the Inn, or on the decks, porches, patios and other outside common areas. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged where guests have smoked in their room with disregard for our policy.

The Barrington reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for damages or costs incurred due to guest negligence.

Special Events

The Barrington Inn would be pleased to accommodate your special event. Kindly let us know if you are looking for a venue or room block for a small wedding or party. We have many years of experience arranging events for our guests and would love to help you plan your special day.

 

Weekly Rentals

The Barrington Inn also has two weekly rentals on property. One of which is pet friendly. Each unit can accommodate up to 5 guests and rents from Sunday to Sunday for $3575 a week, plus applicable taxes and fees.

 

Our sister property, The Harbourview Guest House, located halfway between Scotch and Mansion Beaches on Corn Neck Road, has three weekly rentals, renting from Saturday to Saturday. The Main House can accommodate up to 5 guests and rents for $3250 a week; the Captain’s Cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests and rents for $2375 a week; and the Mate’s Cottage can accommodate up to 3 guests and rents for $2150 a week. Rates quoted are subject to applicable taxes and fees.
